Today’s Topic: Red
It’s interesting that today’s topic is Red, because I wore a red shirt today without knowing that I would be writing about it. Fate? Maybe, I don’t know. I’m not sure how I feel about fate. I believe that it’s probably a true thing…that we are destined for certain things in life, but I also think that we tend to chalk many other events in life to fate that are probably more coincidence.
In April 2012, I attended an (in)RL conference with (in)courage. It was local, and I had never even heard of (in)courage until a few days before. Afterward, I tried so hard to meet up with other women in my season of life, but it just wasn’t working out. In April 2013, I hosted an (in)RL meetup in my home and have since reconnected with three long time friends, and we are still getting together monthly, including a weekend trip coming up later this month!
So what was that season of my life that I was looking for people to connect with? It wasn’t exactly found in the three friends I reconnected with earlier this year, though I am incredibly blessed that God had other plans for me with those connections. The season of life that I am talking about is a common topic of discussion in this blog: Life Without Children.
This week God pointed me in the direction of co-leading a group specifically on that topic, with the help of (in)courage. I am beyond excited that it is all falling into place! I’ll be posting more about the group soon.
So I guess the topic of Red didn’t really get discussed much, but it certainly lead the way to other things on my mind and actually got me to write today
Have a great day, my friends!
